Overview
LeadPilot AI is a SaaS lead-response and qualification agent. Inbound SMS and email hit workers, GPT-4o scores and drafts replies, operators watch a realtime console, and Stripe plus Clerk cover billing and auth. The stack is a Turborepo: Next.js web, Express API, MongoDB via Prisma, Twilio, and SendGrid.
Challenge
Sales teams lose inbound leads after hours. Generic autoresponders cannot qualify budget, timeline, or intent, and CRM notes lag the actual conversation.
Solution
A qualification engine on BullMQ workers: channel adapters for Twilio and SendGrid, GPT scoring, WebSocket updates to the operator UI, and a five-step onboarding wizard. Super-admin can switch AI providers. MongoDB replaced the original Postgres spec so the product could ship on Atlas.
